Abstract Guidelines

Guidelines for Paper presentation

  1. Last date for submission is 31st October 2019
  2. Completely filled abstract submission form, soft copy of the abstract and photograph of the author should be uploaded Online.
  3. Only One author will be allowed to present.
  4. Only case reports and original research work is allowed. The abstract should not exceed 250 words for case report. Original research abstracts should include: Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results& Discussion and not exceed 300 words. No reviews are allowed.
  5. Abstract should be in English, submitted in Microsoft word format with Font: Times New Roman, Fontsize: 12pt. with single line spacing
  6. Abbreviations are not allowed especially in the Title (except standard accepted abbreviations)
  7. Abstract not complying with the above specified format will not be considered
  8. Authors should include their Name, Designation, Affiliation, Address, Email ID, Phone number & Conference Registration number
  9. The concerned guide or HOD should have authorized the abstracts submitted by their Post Graduate students, The option for downloading the PDF & re uploading the same is made available on the website only for student category(PG,Interns& UG)
  10. Hard copy of scientific form /abstract / presentation is not mandatory.
  11. The Scientific Committee shall solely determine acceptance of an abstract & assignment to a particular session. The decision of the Scientific Committee will be final.
  12. Once your paper abstract is approved, you will receive an email communication bearing the scientific paper number (E.g. IES - CR/RV/OR - XXX)
  13. Please contact the scientific committee if you do not receive an acknowledgment within 15 days of making the submission.
  14. Mention the scientific paper number (E.g. IES – CR/RV/OR ? XXX) without fail in the upper right corner of the first slide of Power Point presentation.
  15. Please do not mention personal details, or acknowledge staff/guide/college details in the scientific paper presentation. Doing so will lead to disqualification.
  16. Certificate of presentation will be provided only to registered delegates of the conference.
  17. Scientific paper presentation time limit is 8min (6+2 min discussion).

Guidelines for Poster presentation

  1. Poster will be accepted under below category
    • Original Research
    • Case Report
    • Review
  2. A maximum of 4 authors are permitted per poster presentation amongst which only 1 author will be allowed to present.
  3. Only One author will be allowed to present.
  4. The poster must be of the size 3x2 (height x width) feet.
  5. Once your poster is approved, you will receive an email communication bearing the scientific poster number (E.g. IES - CR/RV/OR - XXX)
  6. Please contact the scientific committee if you do not receive an acknowledgment within 15 days of making the submission.
  7. Mention the scientific poster number (E.g. IES – CR/RV/OR ? XXX) without fail in the upper right corner of the poster.
  8. Please do not mention personal details, or acknowledge staff/guide/college details in the scientific paper presentation. Doing so will lead to disqualification.
  9. Certificate of presentation will be provided only to registered delegates of the conference.
  10. Short listed posters will have 4 min of presentation time followed by 2 min discussion with the panel of judges.
  11. Choose colours of the poster carefully and pay attention to contrast.
  12. No computers or extra aids may be used during the presentation.

Guidelines for Video presentation

  1. Your entire video presentation should be no longer than 3 minutes in length. Audio commentary is permitted in the video.
  2. Only One author will be allowed to present.
  3. Videos pertaining to patient education and procedures related to Operative dentistry and Endodontics are allowed.
  4. The format of the video should be MP4 or MKV only.
  5. Quality of the video should be 720ppi.
  6. Resolution of the video should be 1080 x 768.
  7. Participants should carry a connector to connect the projector to their laptop
  8. Only original work is allowed. Each participant should have their own watermark in the video.
  9. The rights of the submitted video will remain with IES with due credit to the presenter.
